Brewing

As a partner to the brewing industry for many years we understand the need in such a competitive market to keep costs low and reliability high: whether you need to handle yeast, bulk fluids or add flavourings, your pumping solution has to be reliable, cost-effective and easy to maintain.

Three important notes about producing beer is that yeast is a delicate product, the pump must have a low shear action and the dosing rate must be accurate: the EHEDG-certified Verderflex hose or tube pump is therefore an idea pumping solution. Being a peristaltic pump, it is able to handle solids as well as liquids and causes little damage to the material being pumped. Highly accurate tube pumps provide repeatable metering for flavourings, colourings and additives. Accurate to ±0.5%, they ensure the quality is always of the highest standard.

Peristaltic tube pumps have no seals or valves that can clog, which means they are the most hygienic pump and reliable pump. Tube pumps can self prime and run dry, helping to reduce maintenance time and reduce cost.

Transferring bulk fluids requires a heavy-duty pump that is reliable with low maintenance costs such as the Verdermag range of centrifugal pumps.,If you require a more flexible or portable pump, then the Verderair pump range would be more appropriate.

Verder can also supply tailor-made booster sets, which are able to provide water at your required pressure. In addition, we supply products from our established pumping partners which include Grundfos and Apex; sourcing these pumps from Verder would bring you soft cost reductions from having a reduced supplier base and could lead to overall price reductions.

The HUS range of screw channel pumps are ideal for transferring such media as malt mash and long, fibrous slurries. The pump uses an open corkscrew impeller so it is capable of pumping media with high solids. The HUS range is very energy efficient, requires little maintenance and has high resistance to abrasion, corrosion and cavitation.
